Michelangeli Prize Winner 2022: Elizaveta Ukrainskaia

The history

The PIANO ACADEMY EPPAN was inspired by the tradition of the famous masterclasses held by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli in Eppan (South-Tyrol, Italy) in the 60's. In that period Michelageli was teaching at the Conservatory in Bolzano, but he lived in Eppan in the beautiful castle Schloss Paschbach, where he invited his best students and gave unforgettable masterclasses.

The Piano Academy 2024

Since Andrea Bonatta created the Academy in 2009, many top pianists of the new generation came to Eppan to enjoy this very special atmosphere. A Junior Academy for young pianists was added in 2011. Starting  2021 the Piano Academy will invite 24 professional pianists to take lessons with 3 internationally well known artists. Three Artists Prizes (€ 1,000 each) and the Michelangeli Prize (€ 5,000), given by the City of Eppan, will be awarded. Concerts in Eppan and outside Eppan will offer to the participants many opportunities to perform.
