The ABM Prize is sponsored by the City of Eppan. On September 11th there will be a reception in Schloß Paschbach, the castle where Michelangeli lived and thaught. The Mayor of Eppan, Dr. Franz Lintner, will officially award the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize of € 5.000* to one of the six pianists and the winner will be invited to play a short programme on Michelangelis historic piano.

 

The winner of the ABM Prize will be chosen by the public of the Academy. Listeners, who have attended all three concerts, will vote the last evening for one candidate. In case of a tie, the final decision will be made by the teacher of the masterclass.
